WARATAH PARK WORKING BEE!!

Sunday,27th April,2014.

Working Bee April 2014

 

131 new native indigenous seedlings being planted,Sunday,30th March,2014.

The next Waratah Park Working Bee will be held at the park on Sunday,27th April,2014 from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

Bring the family and friends along for the morning with many interesting tasks to be completed on the day such as Bush Regeneration,weed removal,mowing grass,planting of native and indigenous seedlings and some other small jobs.

Morning Tea and Lunch are provided on the day! 

 

What do I wear on the day? Protective clothing that covers your arms and legs,bring along a hat,wear strong but comfortable shoes or boots.If you have a pair of gardening gloves bring them along.A bottle of drinking water and sunscreen are also advised.

 

What tools do I need to bring?If you have gardening equipment at home such as digging equipment like hand mattocks etc,Pruning equipment such as cutters,bush saws would all be useful on the day!!

We do have a small supply of tools and gloves available on the day. 

 

***We are currently looking for donations of native seedlings local to the Duffys Forest Area and also a chipper machine  and crew to help with some of the piles of geen vegetation.***

 

  A local community project of the Terrey Hills and Duffys Forest Area.
